The Salvation Army
Description

Our mission – to feed, to clothe, to comfort, to care. To rebuild broken homes and broken lives. By walking with the addicted, we can lead them to recovery. In fighting hunger and poverty, we can feed and nurture the spirit. And, in living and sharing the Christian Gospel by meeting tangible needs, we give the world a lasting display of the love behind our beliefs.

HOUSING AND HOMELESS SERVICES

There are a lot of reasons people need help with housing. Sometimes, life doesn’t turn out the way we planned. Other times, we experience unexpected circumstances in life, such as job loss or debt following a medical emergency. With one in six people living in poverty today, homelessness is not predictable or exclusive to a certain “type” of person – it could happen to anyone.

Whether you need a roof over your head for the night or you’re looking for an affordable place to call home for years, The Salvation Army has a number of transitional and permanent options in centers throughout Georgia that can help. Thousands of people sleep safely every night because of these programs.

Salvation Army programs and services vary with local needs. For information on specific programs and locations, contact your local Salvation Army Corps Community Center.
